“Somehow, Jessica will get rid of Betsy!”

* Until I was about 18, I thought the term was “crummuffins”. It didnt make sense to me, but I went with it anyway.

This time around, the B Story touches the main plotline (or “A” Story) so little that it didn’t even turn up in my main analysis. It’s definitely got some pluses and minuses On the plus side? Poor sap Roger Barrett is really a Patman! He’s rich! Hooray!

Unfortunately, he only discovered this good news because his mother died. Yes, that makes two deaths in this book–a new Sweet Valley record!

Something tells me this turn of events is going to put Roger’s relationship with Olivia Davidson in jeopardy, mainly because the bitchy elite of SVHS were only avoiding him because he was poor.

More prominent even than that thrilling plotline was Winston Egbert’s race to become the fastest pizza eater ever. He crowns himself “The Starch King” and stages a failed attempt to consume 7 pizzas in one sitting. What does this have to do with Betsy Martin? Nothing.

Nothing at all.

The story that we almost forgot.
